Anonymous asked: (cont.) basically the rude anons are doing the "no fun allowed" trend and trying to shot down anything that's sj related that might be harmful (which if they ACTUALLY read ur explaination it's NOT) when it actually doesn't trigger themselves. its the typical sjw shit going on and its bullshit. if its offensive why don't they talk shit about ouran high? mulan? do you see my point you other rude anons
Ahaha I guess that can also be true! There will always be haters who just hate the things for the sake of hate XDDD
Anonymous asked: the anons being asses seriously need to calm down, they need to know what cultural appropriation is in the first place and they should really re-research about transphobia and trans in general; i understand where you are coming from because i'm Korean and i was born here and raised here all my life (and still living here) and there are actual parents who do that, and we don't have a huge social uproar on trans actually its rather not shunned or degraded as much as the states.
Oh man, thank you for understand my situation, I’m really glad!!
Yes, it is very hard for me to get any information from my homeland, and even when I come here, people generally don’t like to talk about it. It wasn’t easy for me to get the knowledge I need… :(
But I’m now learning from someone who knows plenty about it, so I’m lucky! :DD
Anonymous asked: I think the reason that people are offended about the au is that it sort of implies that it is possible to choose a person's gender. Like, Dualscar forcing Cronus to live as a boy erases the struggles of trans people in some ways, because it makes it seem like all trans people had parents that forced a gender on them. I think the au can definitely be taken as offensive, but you do not have offensive intentions.
Well, I believe trans people discover their gender identity on their own terms.
Cronus did not have the chance to explore his identity. He was not sure if he really feels like a female, a male, or even an agender person. Before Cronus finds the result on his own, he was simply doing what Dualscar asked for.
In this case, I believe Cronus can’t be count as a trans person.
On the other hand, if you can tell from the second comic, Eridan has a hobby involving female clothing that they don’t want Dualscar to know about, because obviously he wouldn’t like it.
Such situation is very similar to the typical scenario where a coach of a specific sport wants her daughter to play that sport, or music teacher expects his son to learn how to play the instrument. It’s just, in Dualscar’s case, involves gender identity and roles.
If people can see the whole situation with Dualscar in a wider point of view, this is less of a case about forcing gender identity on trans people, but a case about a father forcing his own preferences onto his children, both Cronus and Eridan.
Thank you for telling me this. It gives me the opportunity to see my flaws in the comic and able to explain my idea clear. Also thank you for believe I don’t have offensive intentions, it is good to know that people trust me! :’D
Anonymous asked: Hello Xing! I don't think your comic is transphobic, but I think some things may have been presented wrongly. I just want to say your blog is great, and you deal with people very well. Thank you!
Ah yes! I agree that I may or may not have something in the comic that was presented wrongly, and that’s exactly why I need people to help me.
It would be such a great help if anons can tell me exactly where I did wrong, instead of just tell me I did wrong. Nonetheless, thank you for understanding and liking my blog, you are a very kind person, thank you!
